- Issues with condensate management on the combustion air and flue. Most notably on the flue piping.
- All 90%+ AFUE Furnaces are affected in all configurations.
- Alternate Condensate management info in IOMs, as listed above.
- Another thing to note is allowable pipe lengths. If you are near the maximum on 2” pipe for any furnace over 60k BTUs, it could cause pressure switch issues.
- Our recommendation is that all furnaces 80k BTU & up are run with 3” PVC to eliminate nuisance/phantom issues.
- In addition to the above, we recommend checking and removing any extra mold materials, loosen the hose clamps, rotate clockwise(when viewed facing furnace), and tighten the clamps. This should put a slope away from the inducer.
